If the toll system attempts to charge a customer and the payment does not go through, the customer will be notified via robocall, email, text, and postcard. To avoid being billed unpaid tolls, customers are required to keep their payment information up to date. As a courtesy, I-PASS customers receive a waiver of up to five (5) transactions each month prior to the billing date. Customers must have a transponder properly installed in the vehicle to receive the I-PASS fare. I-PASS customers with transponders are entitled to a lower rate on their unpaid tolls, but to obtain this lower rate you must meet the following requirements.
